LAW IS LAW~~STRAIGHTFORWARD! One of the most unfortunate and undesirable traits that I see within many law enforcement agencies across America is the hiring of officers whom spend on-duty time enforcing unconstitutional laws due to inadequate training and education. What is even more disgraceful is those who like you spend their off-duty time discouraging fellow citizens who want to improve mankind by acting as if you have accompanied them through their experiences in life. My experiences are mine and yours are yours--and yours have obviously brought you to a point in life in which you feel the need to justify for me and many others that your perceptions of the RIGHT and WRONG side of the law have been seriously distorted, as well as what a real LEO should display to the public.
Do tell, what "unconstitutional" laws do we enforce due to lack of training and education?
And we don't want to discourage people who want different experiences than us. But a history of making bad decisions (like choosing to use illegal drugs and otherwise break the law) will keep an applicant out of law enforcement.
We do no one any good by giving hope where there is none. People who are on the "wrong side" of the law don't come over and start enforcing it except in Hollywood.
