    New Member Introduction

Hey, my name is Bianca Joiner, I'm 18 and currently attending Blue Ridge Community College. I'm studying Law Enforcement. One of my assignments is to interview a police officer or sheriff's deputy and find out about the duties and compare them to the responsibility of a state police officer. Hope to hear from some one soon. Thanks!

Bianca, first off, Welcome to RP from the Florida Panhandle!

Secondly, let me tell you that if you've joined RP in an attempt to interview an officer for an assignment, you are barking up the wrong tree. There are many reasons, first and foremost of which is we somewhat value our anonymity here, which is why we use nicknames or screen names on the site and don't post our actual names here on the forum. Your instructor wouldn't accept your assignment with you interviewing and quoting "marinepilot" or "greg72982" would he/she?

The best advice I can give you right away, and you'll probably see it repeated, is go to a local law enforcement agency near you (police dept., sheriff's office, etc.) and request to interview a real law enforcement officer. That way the interview can flow, meaning you can ask questions based on answers given, and also it would be more believable when you can quote a person you truly spoke with.

Otherwise, feel free to dig in and explore the space around RP!

That's 'cause you don't ever wear pants. Recognition isn't always a GOOD thing, Greg!

Bianca, you can't actually delete a post, and we won't do it here either, without a incredible reason, but you can always edit a post that you've made and then just save it with the corrections. Under your posts there should be a button that has a pencil and says "Edit Post." Once you're done editing, just look for the button that says "Save" or something to that effect.

    Hope this helps.
