Greetings from a recent college grad looking to go FLE

I have been visiting the site for a couple months, feel its about time I joined the conversation. First off I have to give my thanks to those who maintain and contribute to this site and those of you out there making this great nation a safer place. I hope to be able to join the thin blue line in the not so distant future!

Some background:
I'm 22, graduated a private college in New Jersey with a History major, poly sci and L&J minor. Some of the more rewarding and interesting experiences I have had include: volunteering at the District Office of my Congressman, spending last summer in DC with a non-profit legal service provider and working (for a paycheck, what a novel idea ) for the Associate Provost/L&J Director of my university.

Personal:
I am single (this is a dating site, right? lol)
Dedicated much of my undergrad career to Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, and served as president my junior year.
Have a couple months of Krav Maga classes and really enjoyed them.
Play a little bass guitar, workout of course, and get some xbox in and visit the library twice a month.

Professional:
I applied to the USSSUD and have a COE from them, trying to be patient waiting for a call to schedule my med/poly.

Had also applied and recieved tentitive selection letter from BP, but turned that down because I feel UD is a better fit for my career and life goals and thought the city was just awesome.
Currently, I work in the Accounting dept. of a power tech. company keep some $ coming in, another benefit being it's something new.

My professional goal is to become a 1801/special agent (FBI, USSS, USMS, etc.), then waaay down the line get elected to a political office. I suppose I want to be misunderstand and generally strongly disliked for the rest of my life :-O !

John, Welcome to RP from the Florida Panhandle! Glad you finally joined up and thanks for the awesome intro! I won't bother telling you there's tons of great info and lots of wonderful people here since it seems you already know. But I will say Best of Luck to you in your job search, sounds like it's going well so far! Please keep us in the know as to how things are going. To RP and I must say you are well on your way to success based on your intro congrats on your accomplishments thus far and good luck with your journey...the guys on here are very knowledgeable, " Kimble" seems to know a great deal about your career of interest but anyways welcome aboard and good luck!
