hi, my name is selina and i live in manhattan. i registered to ask a question in the forum, but find this really interesting generally. i like chatting with cops when i get the chance, and always find them incredibly friendly (and if they're not, it's usually because they're under stress)
i've heard some horror stories before moving to the united states about u.s. cops (i'm from norway) but found so far that they're always happy to help (especially when i've gotten lost, or when i grill them about which neighborhoods and such are to avoid
