Hey there!
I was just browsing around and found this site. Seems like a really nice place, I hope it's pretty active.
Anyways, I might as well introduce myself. I'm known as Kat, almost no one calls me by my real name, even the officers around town lol.
I'm 19. I'm short but I have a LOT of energy.
I like to draw, I love reptiles [I own 4, plus a scorpion], I play plenty of video games, I love to read, and Police shows rule my life. I'm currently working on getting a degree in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement.
I did a project on Policing in a career choices class in high school and realized that I should scrap my art career and go after something more exciting. I would just get fat sitting at a computer drawing all day anyways.
I've done two ride alongs with the Police in my town and they were just awesome. I got to see the booking process and see one of my classmates get a sobriety test when he drove his girlfriends car into a daycare center's playground at 40MPH... with a foot of snow on the ground. [no children were harmed]
I'm currently taking a Criminology class at the local community college. I have to write a 5 page paper about a serial killer of our choice and talk about what theory they belong to and why or if they do not belong in any theory and why. [cultural deviance theory, differential association theory, etc.]
I chose Jeffery Dahmer as my serial killer. I read about him and he seemed incredibly interesting to research. Absolutely disgusting and horrible, but gives me a lot to write about.
My Criminology class is taught by the Chief of Police of our town! It's so awesome, he's such a great guy. He doesn't lecture at us, gives us examples from his career, and is downright funny. He knows how to keep us interested in the material.
Look at me prattle on and on, I'll stop boring you all to death.
I hope to find $10 so I can access the general chat area soon.

Hey Kat, Welcome to RP from the Florida Panhandle! Glad you found our little home on the internet and thanks so much for the awesome intro! Feels like you're family already! This site is pretty great (okay, I may be a bit biased) and rather active as far as I can tell. Tons of great info on here with a comprehensive search function too.
