    New Member with questions

Hi guys I am a new member on here. Although I have just got out of highschool I have wanted to be a police officer for some time now, and had a question regarding the medical disqualifications. My dad was a police officer but doesn't quite know the answer to my problem- when i was 13 my doctor told me I had anxiety symptoms, and I have never been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, but 'anxiety symptoms' is on my past record. I do not take medication of any type and I am perfectly healthy. Will that be grounds for PDQ to try and become a police officer in CT when I am 21? Thanks ! : )

You'd have to be cleared by a Dr. (MD) during the medical exam of the hiring process, but on the surface what you describe doesn't sound like a big deal. One question I've got though is what happened at age 13 for you to see a doctor and him/her tell you that you have anxiety symptoms? Do you have these symptoms now?

    Also, what's a "PDQ"?
