Hello,
I'm 21, living up in Canada and am an LPO. I spent 2 monthes at Sears, and been about 3 monthes at Zellers. I'm loving it at Zellers. My store's a bit too quiet sometimes, but a good place to start out on my own and get some recoveries and arrests.
Before starting as an LPO I spent 2 years in college getting a diploma in "Investigations and Security Management." I learnt lots of law, sociology, psychology, how to write legal documents/ reports (super useful now! lol), and got certified in things like first aid, radio communications, gun licence.
It included a field placement portion, for which I shadowed an LPO at Zellers, which was what got me interested in Loss Prevention.
I'm hoping to pick up some tips on catching the shoplifters and doing my job better in general. They've been slipping away lately and that makes me frustrated.
Anyways... hi!
Lycaea.
