Welcome to RP! Police work is a great profession and can be quite rewarding. Getting in sometimes is taxing and you have to be paitient and persistant but once you get hired you'll feel great. Then the day you catch yourself thinking of it as a life style and not a job you'll get a whole new feeling!

I am not sure how much Nikon has shared with you about his efforts to get into LE, but trust me, no-one has tried harder or deserves to be in the job more than him. He is a true inspiration.

Hey George. Been good, just super busy. Ran into some medical issues a couple years back that did me in for a while but that's been taken care of. Then I just seemed to decide that it would be a good idea to pile everything imaginable on my plate and had a second child. DARE, SRO, SWAT family and the regular work stuff (both jobs) has me with little time to play online anymore.

Thanks for the compliments too - I didn't realize that I made that big of an impression when I got here.

Good to hear your medical stuff is all sorted. And great to hear you are going well work wise.

I remember following your attempts to get into LE. Doing a running test in front of a squad car in the snow....all the weight you lost. Truly inspirational. I couldn't find the before and after photos the other day when I went looking but if you ever want to inspire someone to push themselves to be their best, those will certainly do it.

And a second baby...well done...and well done Mrs Nikon.

I don't get here as much as I used to either. My boy is now 3 and time just gets away from you.
