Hello, I'm a n00b.

I'm a 30-something old college sophmore majoring in criminal justice.
I'm headed to Dallas next month to test for DPD. I plan on moving to Dallas next summer with my fiancé.

I was told it is a general civil service test with nothing law enforcement related, but any advice (or link to a forum post) on how to prepare would be great (searching only brought restricted posts).
My curiosity is mostly towards the preliminary interviews and polygraphs. Maybe even a hotel and places to eat during my trip. I've been to Dallas but don't know much about the area.

Looking for ANY help and advice.
Don't feel the need to take it easy, unlike Steve Irwin, I've got a thick skin.

If it is like the exams I have taken, the questions will be LE related however the application of those questions (the problem solving portion) will be pretty much the same as if they were non-LE questions.
