Having left LEO work and trying to go back I have to chime in and say that if he was shafted like he said, I don't see how he would want to go back. If that happened to me, I'd have a new form of PTSD along with all the chewy pills I could get my hands on!
For me, before there was the Thin Blue Line, there was the Blood Stripe! Semper Fi!

Our fear reminds us that we are not God, our faith reminds us that He is!

**DISCLAIMER** I'm not a current LEO, but have six years experience with two city PD's in NC and TX as a sworn officer. I'm in the process of returning to LEO work ASAP.

As a former NYPD cop, nobody messes with anyones locker unless:
    a) you did something BAD which messed with another cop
    b) you did something that was about "you" and got the "team" a short end of the stick.

i was accused of having controlled sub. in my locker. When I signed out 2300 hrs that Sat. before my locker was locked. Little did I know until now that someone unhinged the swing lock to my locker thus having my locker *MESSED* with.
I know the lockers the NYPD uses and they are hinged in the inside.....so the only to unhinge them is to be inside. You must have left it unlcoked or somebody got your combo!

I was told I had to sign off on my charges and spefications bc that was partof the process .
7 years on and you "that is the way?" No. It is not and you know that. A first year rookie knows that. You were charged with something. A major thing...posession of a controlled substance. I am not getting into protocol or anything else, but undercovers do not keep drugs in their locker. PERIOD. Drugs are illegal and you are not exempt from the rules.

and on top of that my vouchers from other arrest were ripped opened too?
That falls on the boss who is responsible for the vouchers, not you.

I put my pension papers in a month before this and I knew being an Undercover you are an asset to this dept and you are such a star ( BS I was told at the pension section)
If you put your papers in with a confirmed date, you would not be out doing buys. You would be on a desk.

    Narcotics is MESSED up unit
There is not a single unit in teh NYPD that is perfect. And every NYPD cop knows it.

You are not telling the whole story. Partial truths. Additionally you left without permission of the PC and while under investigation. That means you are not rehireable under any circumstance and the NY State Division of Criminal Justice was notifed of the conditions and will not issue you a police certification within NY State.

This thread has served its purpose!
-In God we trust. All others, put your hands on the car and don't move.
