I am currently a road supervisor with a sheriff’s office in Florida. I have 13 years on the job. I am an instructor at the police academy for basic recruits and advanced specialized courses. I also teach for the Florida Attorney Generals Office and for Rasmussen College. I have currently taught proximally over 1700 training scenarios with over 3500 law enforcement personnel in the tactics of Firearms, Weapon retention, Weapon Transitions, Building Clearing, Room Entries, Stairwell entries and clearings, Elevator entries and clearings, the use of cove and concealment and the difference between the two. I have taught movement in the areas as single officers and two to 12 man team tactical movements.
My goal is to join FLETC as a full time training instructor. Having problems getting over the hump of getting a interview. Any and all help and guidance would be GEATLY appreciated.
