Thought I should actually introduce myself even though I've already made a couple of posts.
It's nice to see real LEOs posting here since it lets us all see your "human" sideIt's too easy to get used to the constant media attention to the so-called "brutality" cases. I myself have had an unpleasant experience with two LEOs. I was the victim in the case, but I still felt like I was being treated as a criminal (I'll admit my story probably sounded ludicrous to them, but it was 100% true). On the other hand, I've met a State Trooper who arrested a County Commissioner for DWI (even though the local Sheriff said something like "We don't arrest people like him up here."). I was also the passenger in a car that got into a minor accident (the other driver was issued a ticket for failing to yield) and the LEO that showed up was very nice.
Either way, this seems like a nice place. I don't really have an ambition to be a LEO myself, but I still think it's an interesting line of work.
Peace and stay safe![]()
