    Hey! Colorado.

Hey there. I am from Colorado, and I am a volunteer firefighter. I really love helping people. I always have been deciding if I should go the Fire or Police way! My dad was a cop for 9 years, and now he works for the D.O.C. So he does a lot of work in the jails and prisons. He has been awarded many times and been in the newspaper as well. He got awarded the most D.U.I's in a year than anybody else did. What I meant was he "Caught the most DUI's."!! I am always learning new things at the fire dept. My two best friends are cops and I have done tons of ride alongs. I am 18 years old so I am going to start college here soon and get some credits. I am getting my Basic EMT here in January. I figure if I don't be a fire fighter and I get my EMT anyway It would look good on me either way. I have a great background. No criminal history whatsoever. In school people would always offer me drugs and stuff and I didn't even go there. I figure my future is more important than getting high and getting caught and never being able to do what I love. I had no friends in school. I had horrible anxiety and it's one of the things I am trying to cope with. This field whether it's fire or police I need to get that taken care of. It's hard but I am not giving up. I been on a lot. I am not going to say I been on everything because I haven't. I been on many car fires. A mailbox fire... lol. and I been on TONS of medicals... Seizures... Cardiac Arrests... Fainting... Diabetic problem... Breathing problem... Car accidents... Drug Overdoses... and on these calls since I am an EMT I don't really do to much but since I am at the FD everyday they let me do the oxygen, Write down the symptoms/ their history... all of that stuff. Just the vital type stuff. Obviously I can't do much because I am not an EMT or Paramedic. Regardless... I love both fields but lately I am really going the police side. It's good to be here, this seems like a great place.

    Welcome to RP. :D
You have two options...You can be your worst enemy, or your best friend.
