Hello.I am a designer from China

No. I am not a designer for cloths or chairs, but a designer for flashlights, especially for duty lights.

I hope to chat with people here, to get more info about the using of lights in LEO area.

For example. I have designed a flashlight with a control ring. So it needs another way to hold. I hope to hear your advices.

I also planned to produce White/ IR/ UV multi-LED headlamps for anti-bomb units, so the real demands is quite important for me.

Nice to be here. Thank you!

JFYI, Neoseikan is a member at CandlePowerForums and has manufactured some well-received/postively reviewed lights...

Neoseikan, do you have any Seoul P7 or Cree MC-E based lights?

    Hi, Samuel.
    Nice to see you here.
Yes. I have MC-E based light. It's Legion II. Haven't you noticed it?
    What a pity!
It's a 740 torch lumens light. And I might get another version with 1000+ torch lumens.

    Hi Neoseikan,

The performance of the Legion II looks very impressive! Our duty lights are subject to some pretty harsh conditions. How much testing have you done as far as operation in water resistance/"proofness", shock/impact resistance, and high/low temperatures?

For me (California), for work/duty purposes, I would prefer a light that can be operated (turned on/off, switched through modes) while underwater (dunked in a bathtub would be good enough) - one that can withstand several (8-10) drops down metal/concrete stairwells (or off the top of a truck) and still function properly - and one that will work between let's say 20-25 degrees F and 150-160 degrees F (vehicle interior temperatures during summer)...

That might be nice for your area Samuel, but you might need to drop the lower number into the -20 degrees F range for some of the colder climates. :p
Excuse me Officer, I have a stupid Question. "No problem, I've got a stupid answer for you!"

    Hello. All.

    I am from mainland.
About the question "how reliable it is", that's the work I am doing.
I will enhance the shockproof and waterproof in this version,
    and have tests.
About the temperature. when it's cold, then the light will work until the li-on cells are down.
If it's hot, then you may need to use lower levels. I hope we can get a chance to test it.

This light use a 10W LED (on max), so the specs are different with bulb or 5mm LED lights (such as Inova X5).
1- A bulb can not be damaged by heat produced by itself, but LED can. So that high-power LED lights need cooling - In my design, I added many thin and wide radiating fin in the head, to get a better cooling.
2- A bulb might be damaged by shocking, but a LED seldom met that case. The only problem is: Drops might reduce the waterproof ability. So, if an officer like Samuel needs a Legion II, I should produce additional parts to solve it. I did not tested it. But looks useful.
3- LED lights can have a small size and weight than bulb ones. but they often use Li-on cells. It means, you need to buy expensive CR123A cells, or "18650 " cells which is not so expensive but harder to find, and needs charging before your operation.
As I mentioned, Li-on cells may loss capacity in cold condition. 20F is OK, but -20F will be problem. (But when it's ON, the 10W LED light will be a warmer to your hand. LOL)

Neoseikan, thanks for listening. I look forward to hearing from you regarding futher testing and possible upgrades/improvements of the Legion II. When I have a little more time, I will post some more of my opinions when it comes to duty lights...
