From pictures that other members of CPF posted, the Legion II (L2) looks to be roughly about the same size as a SureFire M6... My primary duty light right now is a Streamlight Ultrastinger - I prefer smaller diameter battery housings and the ability to hold my light "forward" (thumb forward) or "reverse" (thumb back) grip... (more on my opinions later).

    Boy you're picky...AND opinionated. :p

I had NO CLUE that there was a whole science to flash lights. Personally, I would like one with a bulb on the one hand and pepper spray on the other. Kinda like thumb forward for light and thumb back for pepper spray. Anybody making those?

Just gotta make sure I'm pointing it the right way.

MagLite 3D and MiniMag for backup, then Peli M9 for carry and MagLite 3D for longer searches, now LedLenser T7 (for quarter the money I paid for the M9, it's a pity).

Your flash light pepper spray is already reality, Cass. But if you turn the flash light to spray, you'll lighten yourself and maybe that ... uhhh, bygones. :D

Welcome to the site, Neoseikan. I've been to Hong Kong a couple of times and a day trip to Shenzhen, but that's about it.

    Enjoy your stay.

    Welcome from another Gerrman.

I use the same flashlight driet has but nothing can beat the good old MagLite. What other flashlight will be able to break so much bones in so very short time?

But the light is better with other flashlights;)

    Hi Neoseikan.

The beam of your torch looks bright, but it's a little too bulky for me.
I prefer me flash lights light and bright.
They don't have to have a super long runtime. Just a bright beam and some extra features...;)
Currently I'm using a modified Blackhawk Gladius Night-Ops (with a P4 LED lense) and as a back up a Tomahawk LE.
Tomahawks are great for entering buildings and if you anticipate a hand-to-hand struggle.
Normally these lights use CR123A's, but I have a few rechargeables that work just fine:cool:

In Germany we have an almost on an annual basis recurring, nationwide operation (patchcop and driet know what I'm talking about:D ) to return rehashed nuclear waste to a highly disputed storage facility in Lower Saxony.
The last section of the transport route is in a rural area with lots of fields and forests.
As we were waiting on the roadside for the waste to come through, we had to watch a stretch of forest to make sure that no interferer could get past us and block the road.
I can tell you... It was fun to see those clowns (they call themselves Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army) trying to sneak up on us when they suddenly stood in bright daylight approximately 100 ft away from us.:D

Call me a geek, but I just love it:rolleyes:

    Nils

PS: I'm not allowed to post URL's yet:(
But for more info google "strategos international gladius" and "Tomahawk flashlight)

Hello. Thank you for your reply. Yes, I am also going to design some lights with less weight.
For example, 4*CR123A, long runtime and ultra-bright output (e.g. 500 Lumens). Do you prefer single level or multi-levels?

    Definitively multi-level.
With my Gladius I have the option to adjust it from some 1% to 100% output.
That's a must-have if you want to use it to check on DWI/ narcotics.
Also a nice extra is the strobe...

But if you came up with something completely new...:D
Just keep it "small"! If I can't carry it around on my duty belt I just won't. Although 500 lumen sound terrifyingly awesome!
