How ya doing folks?
After being pointed in the direction of the site, I decided to join.
A little info and background to get on the front foot:
The screen name? A joke that a friend of mine made. Had to do with trying to make "caviar dreams on a beer budget". So there you go.
What do I do? I am a Deputy Sheriff. Been with my agency since 2002. I took a short hiatus from July 08 to January 09 after hitting burn out so hard I was a pile of ash. Now that I am back from my vacation, I actually don't mind getting up at o-crap-thirty and coming in for another briefing.
Prior to starting a high-flying jet-setting career in law enforcement I was a mechanic for about 10 years, working on mostly motorcycles with a few years in automobiles.
Anyways. I have three wonderful kids and a wife who has stood by my side through all of this, including the night shifts, whacked out in-service training scheduling, days on the draft, and response team call-outs. Heck, she liked it so much, she is even applying with the city police. Now it is my turn to be the supportive one.
Glad to be here, and looking forward to getting to know a few peoples.

I worked at a Chevrolet dealer in the mid 90s. Made the BIG mistake of going to Corvette school and then getting stuck with the C5s when they came out.
But, since I don't HAVE to deal with them anymore ... these days it's Volvos (pre-Ford thank you) a love of late sixties to mid seventies Ford F100s and pretty much anything old and cool.
Motorcycles have run the gamut. I have worked at Aprilia, Bimota, Ducati, Honda, Moto Guzzi, Royal Enfield, and Suzuki dealers. Also worked on a lot of BMWs back in the day.
