Recently I have decided to scrap my private business and desk job for a career in public service. It will be a pay cut, but life isn't all about material possessions. This has been something in the works for about a year now. In February of this year I tipped the scale at an unhealthy 244. To give that number some scale, I am 6' tall with a normal build. I am now at healthy 180'ish and feeling really good. I had to wear a suit to a recent entrance exam for a PD department and I wore a suit I bought in my early 20's. Anyway, I'm trying to stay in this weight range to hopefully do a few triathlons next year.
Otherwise I have been applying and testing with some fire and police departments in Northern Virginia that stand out as great places to work. I can be long winded, so for your eyes sake I'll wrap this one up and leave more for later.
