    Hello from West point, NY

    I just found out I passed NYPD exam #7011 with a 93.5. :D Waiting on the next step. Great website. It has helped me with the majority of questions that I keep thinking up.

    Congrats on moving on in the Process. Do you know if it's true all or most of NYPD start their first couple years Walking the beat? Without a Cruiser? Just curious. I've heard a couple Verified say that they started like that, and was wondering if it's the same for the newer Officers that may potentially get hired?

    I have read and been told that it takes about 1.5 years before you can get to move off of foot patrol. I would think that it depends on more than just time on the job. Hopefully I will find out soon enough.

    I wouldn't qualify. My spouse is active army and is almost done with her nursing degree. We are financially stable, so whatever I make would be fine for us. The way were looking at it is, we make some sacrifices in the beginning and I end up with a really good job that I like in the end. Now if they would only call me with the next recruitment step.
