hey, longtime listener/first time caller. i've wanted to be a police officer for a number of years, finally in a position to finish school, will be applying to local PD within the year. fingers crossed.
edit: little more about me, 26yo male, atheist, high asvab score, entry level separation from USAF (will this DQ me?), one arrest, possession < 30g, possession paraphernalia when I was 20. non-drug user since then (plan on full disclosure, I own my mistakes). would highly appreciate any and all comments, questions, advice, feedback, ANYTHING. Thanks to all.

You are going to have a rough time with your background. Even if it doesn't DQ you, there are always candidates with no background issues.A nod is as good as a wink to a blind bat
