Ches is referring to the two RPD officers (may they rest in peace) who were killed in off-duty crashes a couple months ago. One was from 1st Precinct and the other from 3rd Precinct.

No need to apologize. ;)
However, Ches is correct about them having fixed the retention problem. If you think you'd enjoy working in a city environment, don't dismiss RPD based on the horror stories of their past. They've changed a lot (for the better) under the new leadership.

Don't know exactly how many openings they have. But one of their guys mentioned last week that they were pretty much at full strength now.
