I've posted a few times but I think I'll try to stick around and make some contributions to this board so I will introduce myself.
I live in Dallas, TX, and I just got hired on with the USMS as a Deputy. Training starts Nov. 19th. Can't wait.
I have worked in executive protection after college and this is my first LE job. Anyone with advice for FLETC or anything else on a federal LE career path feel free to PM me or email me.

Thanks for the advice, I just want to go to the academy, keep my mouth shut and do the best I can.
To kelly - I tested June 01, received my offer 3 weeks ago after doing all of my interviewing/fit testing/medical in one 12 hour session in Phoenix a few months ago. I had all but written this job off and passed up offers with the BP and USSS UD. I wanted Diplomatic Security but that didn't happen. I'm glad I passed up those offers now, I think this will be the best opportunity for me.

Welcome to Realpolice and Good Luck with your CI Basic Training at the mothership FLETC-Glynco. You should have an enjoyable experience. I am an instructor at FLETC-Artesia.
All of the advise DC Law gave is correct. Let me add some more. Your agency representative (USMS) will be a big help. Get into a study group and prepare for the exams, especially the legal. Legal exams are the usual down fall of alot of canadiates.
Take some time to get out of FLETC and visit St. Simons Island, J-Ville, Savannah. Especially go to PAM#1.
Time will go fast.
