Hi there, I'm new to the Real Police forums. This looks like a great forum to be a part of, and I hope to be a part of it for a long time. I am a CJ student, with about a semester left before I get certified. I've started applying to PDs around Milwaukee, WI.. including Milwaukee. All I get for a response when I say I've applied to MPD is, "Milwaukee?? You don't want to work in Milwaukee!!" Oh, but I do.
This might seem a little far fetched for a newbie to the forums, but my long term career goal after SWAT is DEA/Special Ops.
I hope to get to know you guys well, and become friends with you and share advice/stories, and laugh at stupid criminals.
Anyway, great forum, look forward to meeting you, drop me a note or PM about anything.

Thank you for the welcomes. I just made the trip down to Milwaukee (9 hours round trip) last Saturday for Phase 1 of the hiring process. The written ability test consisted of 3 written exams, totaling 395 multiple choice questions. :eek:
The tests took me exactly 4 hours. I was to be in Milwaukee at 0800 for the beginning of the test, and at 1200 I was walking out the door. I feel pretty confident about all parts of the exams. I was surprised of my confidence level for the memory scene we had. I think I nailed 9/10 of those questions. I have to wait 6-8 weeks for an answer back on my final score, but I'll let you guys know the final score and the date of the physical agility test!!!
