    Transitioning military guy

    Hey everyone. I've been around this site for a year now, but have yet to introduce myself. I'm Mike, and I'm from Aurora CO presently. I've been serving the past 10 years in the Air Force as a Security Forces member and Canine Handler over the course of the past 3 years. Looking to land a job in a city level PD (Denver, Dallas, Aurora) or with CBP.

    Too bad that we don't hire K-9 directly into CBP anymore like we used to, but if you do come into CBP, you can get the slot after about 3 years minimum.

    There is a test open right now nation wide until Feb 5th, so hurry up and register on www.usajobs.gov

    The series is 1895. Best of luck to you whatever you do.

    Your headline says "transitioning MILITARY guy" but in your post you say you were in the air force? So which was it? The MILITARY or AIR FORCE?
