Hi everybody. I'm PrinceCaspian. I live in the Virgin Islands, and work for a police station in administrative duties (to the cops, I'm known as a secretary) I am also studying for a degree in Criminology.

I usually play the game Cybernations, a geo-political simulator. I am Irish, and a sympathizer of the IRA. (No, definetly not a member)

In politics, I usually go for libertarian, or minarchism.

Welcome to the forum. In reference to your sympathy for the IRA...Do you sympathize with their goals, or do you also approve of their methods?

Well, not to be offense or flame, but a little bit of both. I 100% support the idea of a free Ireland. And for the second part, i am mixed. Back when Britain took the Colonists, and the colonists robbed, beat up, tarred, and even killed British loyalists, I believe the IRA do the same. But when Americans did it, there wasn't a "terror" problem. Now, it has changed. The freedom of liberty has been completely denied by modern society. If a state of people want to be free, why say no? Britain lost America, India, Africa, Hong Kong, soon N Ireland also. I do not like the bombing of civalians. Military, and other personell atacking the IRA, I see it as defense.

I've met a lot of people and talked about the IRA. Some of my friends...wooo.... you ask them that question and they go off into how all of it is just. 3 people I know are Provos. Ask them, you get "All of it is fine"

The father of my friend once had a book on his coffee table titled The IRA & You. He immigrated from Ireland in the late 70's and hinted several times about his ties with the IRA. It is a topic that I really never spoke with him about in depth.

Just to let you know that both sides of the sectarian conflict in Ireland are funding the "war" with drug money. Most of the puishment beatings and shootings are because of that as opposed to the romantic notion of a unified Ireland.

By the way I'm of catholic Irish dissent too. Both sides orange and green could die slowly of the clap before I'd sympathise with either, the don't think of the innocent public when they set off blast bombs, they are just thugs and bullies. They are NOT the freedom fighters they were 100 years back . To think of comparing them is an insult to the families that truley suffered under British rule at the turn of the century.

If everyone in NI wanted to unified with the south it would've happened years ago, as you stated it did in the US India, and everywhere else.
