hey its my first post.. i was just hired by the Broward Sheriffs office for law enforcement deputy and they are sending me to the academy june 5th.. just wondering what to expect if anyone has gone through it
2nd after i get certified how to i get to post in the restricted rooms in the forum
so yea thats about it im 21 and anxious to get started... take care

There is a Training Advisor from BSO on this forum. The BCC academy is very physical so you better be in shape. They also have one of the best DT instructors in the country (I forgot his name). I have a buddy that is going thru the academy for BSO right now. His class graduates in July. Originally Posted by dan1210bso
My advice to you is to go in with an open mind, pay attention, have fun, and study. The CMS curriculum is not rocket science, but if you don't study you will fail. I believe there are 14 tests in total, including the state exam. Also make sure that your uniform is pressed and that your shoes are shined. Keep an extra uniform in your car just in case. I also keep my PT gear in my car. I also have some shaving supplies, extra pens, and some other stuff. It's a good thing to have because someone might forget. Remember that if one of you messes up, the ENTIRE class will pay. If you have any other questions shoot me a PM.

I forgot about our beautiful weather... Make sure you hydrate yourself properly before you run or do any kind of PT. It has been very humid in the past few days and it's only going to get worse. It might delay the date of your state exam. You want to take that exam right away because most of the material will be fresh in your mind. Our T.A. told us that a class had to wait almost 2 months to take their state and some people ended up failing it. Originally Posted by dan1210bso
