Hello,
I am a seventeen year-old male from Ridgecrest, CA. I am trying to join the military, but I have thick glasses. Will glasses or contacts disqualify me from police work if the Army and other services say no?

Hello Linebacker. I can't answer your question but welcome to Real Police and good luck with your goals.

Welcome to RP. Try posting your question in the military section and perhaps you will have better chances of getting your question answered.
Welcome Linebacker40 to RP and as for the glasses go talk to a recruiter. Try all branches of the military as one might have a waiver that can be given to you. And it all depends on what you are trying to do in the military also. As for a police officer that again is something different as most require a vision of 20/20 or correctable to 20/20. Granted some departments give waivers and again it all depends on what you are going to do in police work. Good luck to you in your endeavors!
Definition of a veteran:
A veteran is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."
That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

Welcome to RP...most depts want it correctable to 20/20, but also have a minimum standard
CHARACTER is what you do when no one is watching....
If your correctable to 20/20 and have no color blindness you should be good for the military. I had Laser surgery which in turn made me qualify for most civillian LE jobs. The USAF provided the Laser surgery free by the way.
Hello and welcome to RP!
