Howdy folks.
Transplanted Tennessean now living in beautiful Northern California. No, San Fran ISN'T Northern California as far as we're concerned!
US Army vet and spent 13 years working for Uncle. Two years in Artillery, then was fortunate enough to branch transfer into Special Ops after OCS. I was involved in 4 campaigns over that 10 year span and have probably been shot at more than most of you LEOs. I left the service after I broke my back way back in 1993. I briefly considered working as a LEO but at the time I felt my attitudes just didn't quite fit with what you folks have to put up with.
I read the sticky about this not being the board for you if you don't like cops. I think that would seem to be a common sense type thing but then I realized something. While I do like and respect most officers, there are a few that have that "I'm in Law Enforcement, you're nothing and the rules don't apply to me anyway" attitude. I don't like those officers. I won't respect those officers. And I always let them know that. If you're one of those types of people and I just offended you then you know how I feel and we probably won't get along. By the way, I don't go out of my way to offend people but I do tell it like I see it.
For enjoyment I hunt, read and shoot. You'll find all kinds of rifles in the safe. Everything from my trusty old .45-70 falling block to my 1950's era M1. At last count there were about 50 rifles in my collection. All of 'em are shooters because why own a gun if you aren't going to fire it? I've also got a decent handgun collection, the pride and joy of which is a Smith Performance Center Model 625 Stainless in .44mag. Ported, with Hogue grips it handles about like my .357 Security Six. I'm also a CCW holder (our sheriff thinks citizens should be armed!). My carry weapon is either the security six or a springfield XD tactical in 9mm. For those who feel that 9mm is too "weak" a round, I feel that shot placement takes precedence over shot power every day. But, as you may have guessed, I love a good debate and we can talk about it later if ya want.![]()
Anyway, that's a little about me. If you've got questions, I've got answers.
Feasog
