Heya,
New to the board, i was just hired as a Deputy Sheriff out in Chouteau Co Montana, (Refrence the Bear Paw Mountains) i'll be one of two resident deputy sheriffs out of Big Sandy, MT a small town (pop 700) about 30 miles north of the county seat of Fort Benton.

Professional: 5 years in the Army, got a 4 year criminal justice degree from Central Missouri State.
i've lived in MN, MT, MO, & HI

Personal: I'm a Motorcycle Fanatic, (Honda VTX 1800 - Cruiser), and have been playing Rugby for about 8 years. real big into physical fitness, plus Fishing, Hunting, and all the stuff you'd expect from a Montana boy.

The job i just got is basically the culmination of 3 years of effort trying to get a job out in Western Montana, i lived very cheaply (back in MN) and interviewd as often as my finances and work allowed me. so either way i'm pretty stoked about that, looking forward to getting started.

that's the basics you'll get plenty out of me as time goes on.

Billings is about 250 miles south of me, it's a big state so that's actually not far by montana standards, thought the two closest places that out of staters might have heard of Havre, MT is 35 miles north (major train stop), and Great Falls is 72 miles south (military base).

Yeah no teams in my new neck of the woods either but i'm told there was a highschool team 2 or so years ago, in fort benton, 40 miles south of me. so after i get settled in i'm going to see if i can get one started up in my town, i should be able to draw from fort benton 40 miles south (pop 1500) and Havre 35 miles north (Pop 9,000 + 2000 at college)...we'll see how it works out, i've been playing for long enough, and even was a team Cpt for 2 years so i think i'm ready to make the leap to coach if i can drum up support. i kinda want to wait until after i pass my probation and the Academy in case i get hurt playing, would suck to get hurt and then fired cause i'm still on my 1st year probation where they can fire you at any time for any reason.

Strangley enough that'd be a no, this made my pre interview information gathering intresting until i figured out there's a Chouteau Co. Montana and a Chouteau City Montana, as i understand it they (city) pronounce it Sha-tow, and we (the county) pronounces it Show-toe.
