Police wife turned student needs help

Greetings all...

I need your help. My husband persuaded me to go back to school to get my graduate certificate in Criminal Justice (after I'd just finished a Ph.D. in Education). I am two classes into the certificate program and I need help with a topic.

For my research paper, I am doing child on child molestation issues (laws, enforcement, etc); but, I am having a hard time finding the court cases. I found the Marcus Dixon case but I know there are more.

My husband, who works morning watch, is still asleep and won't help me! :mad:

I need actual court cases by midnight.

I tried a couple of case law websites but I'm not getting anything back with my searches.

Try lexis-nexis. you might have to go to the school library to access it. I used back when I had Law and Criminal Procedures. I'll take a gander at my notes to see if I have some case briefs

Hi Annise,
I did my AS in CRJ and I did a report on the McMartin Preschool Trial in CA and I had the same issues. I was going crazy with WestLaw and Lexis Nexis. I also went to our library and they helped me great. Going to a library is definitely not a waste of time.

Ok look here Dixon v. The State, S04A0072...it was a GA Supremecourt case right?

I think if you look with the Case Number it is easier to find stuff. If you go to the library you can take the case number and they can look it up, GA might be in the Atlantic Reporter but I do not know if they have Supreme Court cases...

Try doing a google search on the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University. It's the 'sex college' and they have a huge amount of research. I'm not a fan of theirs at all as they have testified on behalf of child molesters on more than one occasion, but they should have all the case law you need.

I arrested a guy for Poss of Child Porn. He had never gone to the University but he had done volumes and volumes of research on the topic.
