Westmoreland, Allegheny, anyone home?

I know the schedules in our areas suck, but how come its so hard to find LEOs from our area of PA with something to say online? I get active on these forums for awhile then everyone just disappears again. Lets get it with the basics then..

I have been a LEO for 9 yrs and recently started with PHPD. Never worked in Allegheny County before this. Is there really that many druggies, junkies and crackfiends in this county or do they just flock to my area because because we're so close to Homewood, East Hills and Wilkinsburg?

ANYONE with any thoughts or ideas on this please post here or if you are in another problem area in our county I am curious to hear about it. Thanks

I'm from Westmoreland County and I work one job here and one in Indiana County. In Blairsville there is alot of heroin even though it's in the so called "boonies"......the other place seems to be more weed so I think it's just everywhere......but being near those areas cant help lol


P.S. heard rumors Penn Hills is hiring full time soon....any truth to that?

As far as the rumors, all I can say is there is alot of guys at retirement age and the contract is up this year, so if you see the add its definitely worth taking the test. I wrote this list off and got called almost 1 1/2 years after the test and it is definitely worth it.

wow i think i'd forget about it 1 year and a half later....i need somethin this two jobs with no pay (8 an hour at one 9.75 an hour at the other) is gettin old and wearin on me...it's like im always at one of the jobs yet i have nothing to show for it

to Greg72982 I was in the same position for almost 8 years, all I can say is keep taking every test u can. Full time is full time and once you are there and not working 90 hours a week it is much easier to train and study for a better job if u want to move on. good luck and like I said, LOOK FOR THE ADVERTISEMENT and don't blow it off no matter how many people show for the test.
