Woo Hoo!
Just passed my written exam and scored a 92! ( a few points short of valedictorian :( ) Another guy who scored a 96 got it...oh well.
I will be getting my shield and ID issued in 2-3weeks and will have to head down to 1 police plaza to pick up my uniform and other items.
Another piece of good news I received was that my RMP (Radio Motor Patrol) certification carries over from my previous service so I will be able to drive a department vehicle from day one! Very excited!! :D
I plan to stay at my current command for a few months to a year and then take up the offer that I previously received to move up to the APSU unit. The training that i will receive there is very nice and am looking forward to it. Jaws of life, chain saws, rappelling, cordoning off crime scenes, and whatever else is necessary in order to assist the regular ESU. I've gotten this info from my buddy so i don't know how accurate it is, but I'll find out for sure once i'm in.
Working directly with ESU has been one of my dreams. If any ESU guys are on and want to chime in about the APSU unit, please feel free to do so.
Sorry for being chatty, just excited!
thanks for listening.
