hi there. I came across this website while browsing the internet. I am currently volunteering for a local fire department and rescue squad. Basically a driver until I finish my emt b class, but at least i'm getting to learn the ropes a little bit. i'm not in law enforcement, but i know often times law enforcement works close with the ambulance guys, so i thought itd be good to get to know some cops.

Thanks bro. I haven't joined yet, but the fire chief is trying to get me an application and radio. Then i can run calls as a driver or writting stuff down for people in the ambulance or something. atleast I'll be getting familiar with it before i start running as an EMT Originally Posted by jmur5074

Before I got my first responder license, I went on all the medicals and just watched, took notes (literally) and that helped me big time in my classes, and if inoculated me to a lot of stressors when I finally got to start taking calls on a crew. It also helped me in my LE job handling stresses (not exactly the same ones, but still). It'll do nothing but help you out. Sounds like your on a good path.

Thanks for replying. If you can think of anything that I might need to/should know/might find helpful to know, would you be willing to pm it to me or something? I'm not to far along yet, doing pretty good on the practicals and written tests, HOWEVER, I know that doing it in classroom is going to be vastly different when doing it with someone who isn't pretending.
