Hey everyone. Well, I actually found this website last year but never joined as a member. From April 2003 to October 2004, I was a sworn police officer with LAPD. I left the department because I realized that the job (at the time) wasn't for me so I did a career change after probation. A lot of my close friends are confused on why I gave it all up but I don't have any regrets. I still keep in contact with a few LAPD friends but I pretty much moved on. Now, a little more than a year after I have decided to go back into the police department. I have decided to apply for Los Angeles World Airport Police which covers three airports; LAX, Van Nuys and Palmdale. I really don't know too much about the department other than the info given on their website. That is exactly why I joined on this website, I want to get as much info as I can from you guys about this department before I commit once more. I am officially "processing" but I still have time to make my decision. If anyone has any info about the department including details on the actually daily work, employees, shift descriptions, arrests, etc. etc.- all this would help! Anyway, I'll see ya in the forums!

I hope you can satisfactorily explain to a prosepctive PD why they should consider someone who quit after a year on the job as a former LEO. This isn't a personal slam but they are not going to hire someone who could split again after a year.Creeper Cop
