Today I received the call from Nashville Metro PD. I start October 17 doing paperwork for human resources and then begin at the academy November 1. I want to thank everyone for the wealth of information this site has provided me during this process.
This was my timeline for anyone interested.
Application sent in - Mid May
Civil Service Exam and Obstacle Course - June 18
Background Packet turned in - June 24
Background Check Completed - August 17
Oral Interview - August 24
Medical Exam and Psychological Questionnaire - September 1
Voice Stress Analysis and Drug Screen - September 8
Psychological Exam - September 20 and 28
Notice of Hire - October 5 (I turned in my 2 weeks at my current job as soon as I hung up the phone)

I have had no problem patiently waiting for the process to move along and now this last week and a half is killing me.
As of right now I have very little to contribute to the forum, however, I am sure that over the next year if I have an opinion my instructors will let me know what it is. Then I will post it here for everyones' amusement.
