Welcome Shauna,
I was a bit nervous with cops too for a long time (my father was a fire fighter so my parents always put the fear of god in me about the police) In the last two years I have made friends with quite a few officers and now I am in the process of becoming one myself. Now they only scare me when I am driving because I really don't want to get a ticket before I go to the Academy.

Yes thats it! My family and friends the the fear of police in me since I was a kid. Never go near them, don't do eye contact, don't look suspicious, and for sure don't let them catch you! Thats what I was told growing up.
I trust everyone, just not the devil inside them.
