Greetings everyone. You might recognize me from a few LE forums, as I do recognize some names here. From what I have seen so far, I am very impressed by the site.
A bit about me:
I am a 21 year old college senior, majoring in Business Administration. I work part time for the local PD as a non-sworn student assistant. Our unit's primary duty is to respond to noise calls and issue warnings to the residents for being in violation of the city noise ordinance. This helps free up patrol officers for more important things and we also act as a liason between the police department and our student peers. It has been a great job so far, with some interesting experiences and a chance to be a part of the LE environment.
After I obtain my degree, I hope to start a career as a patrol officer somewhere in California. I have several agencies on my list, including the CHP, Sacramento PD, Sacramento County Sheriff and Santa Cruz County Sheriff (to name just a few).
I hope to have positive interaction with you all in the future and glean as much information as possible from this site. Thanks.
