I worked with the AO's doing assembly, remained undesignated so I could get my desired rate (CB) in the reserves when I got out. MA was hard to come by when I was in, does it still take a five year hitch?

There is a 36 month post "A" school requirement. For us boot camp MA's, this means a 48 month enlistment. In my case it's a 60 month because of my college bonus. Originally Posted by JHC

They wouldn't give it to me at MEPS, so I had to have a telephone conversation with the Sr. Chief for the recruiting district who *swore* he would come through with it. They considered me to be exceptionally qualified (BBA degree, 91 AFQT) so they were pretty eager to get me enlisted. As such, I enlisted with an IT guarentee and sure enough Sr. Chief had it changed to MA about three weeks later.
