    Hola from Illinois

    Hello everyone..

    Well, after getting off to a bad start, I thought I'd take the time to introduce myself. I am currently a Senior Political Science and Administration of Criminal Justice major at Bradley University. At this point in my life, I should probably have a good feel of what I want to do when I graduate. The truth is, I honestly dont. I was a Bio-Chem and Pre-Medicine major for 4 semesters when I decided to change and follow in my step-dad's tracks and study Criminal Justice.

    I have thought about doing an internship with the DOJ:BOP, SS, State Police, or possibly the FBI. I'm not sure which one is going to allow me to experience the most for my career. I have always been interested in unsolved criminal cases, especially within the area I live in. So I guess, I'm interested in investigation also.

    There is so much to learn in this field that sometimes I feel so overwhelmed. I have thought about applying to Graduate School to further my studies, but Id actually loev to get experience instead.

    In the meantime, Im a young, 21, female who is juggling 3 summer courses. Its interesting and has definetly kept me on my toes. I like this site because some of the posts are very informative to me and my future.

    Well, this novel is coming to an end! Anyways, thats me in a nutshell.

    Welcome to RP.. I understand the rough start, Ive been there myself. The officers here are great and are very helpful. Browse the forums and be an active member. I've been here for about 3 months now and I'm still learning new things from all the content this site has to offer.

    Yes, you had a rough start, but you pulled off one of the most remarkable turnarounds I have seen in here.

    If I could send you a green, I would. Maybe later.

    My oldest daughter always wanted to be a cop and I did my best to discourage her. I did not want her rolling around in the gutter with a drunk trying to kill her at 2:00 a.m. on the bad side of town.

    I prevailed and she will soon be pinning on Captain bars in the United States Air Force.

    She is a 1st Lieutenant assigned as a Deputy Combat Crew Commander in ICBM's now, but has expressed an interest in transferring to the USAF Office of Special Investigations. I would rather she did something else, but at least she won't be humping those dangerous streets.

    In any event, good luck to you and your endeavors.

    Oh great, a Bradley student. I did a few years at Illinois State myself and am originally from Morton. How's the weather up there?

    Thanks My behavior was rude, and it should not have been. My Mom is the same way- she does not want me to pursue law enforcement officer as my career. She would rather me have a sit down desk job or something to the extent. I still am undecided about what Im going to do, so hopefully these boards will give me a good idea

    Thanks again And congrats to your daughter, that is an extroadinary achievement for a young woman.
