    Hi from old arson dog

    Thought I'd better say hi too, since I have posted a couple times. I have close to 15 years as a fulltime, parttime regular, and reserve officer, and graduated from our state academy for city/county officers. Cell phones back then were full sized handsets with a battery pack the size of a small handbag. Two years ago I finally gave up the badge, and still miss it.

    I do have almost 30 years in fraud investigations and am a court qualified expert in fire origin and cause. I am not a "hoser", but have great respect for that side of the service.

    This forum, and other similar forums, has helped me advise students in my community college class on education and training to get into the LE field. I am so pleased to see you advising students to consider majors other than CJ, and to consider what they may want to do if LE does not work for them.

    All I can say is between the LE and arson experience, I've had a blast for over 30 years.
