Hey Y'all,
I was at the "O.ther" forum too. I'm an average citizen who has a couple of really good friends locally who are leos. I made a couple more at the O.ther site, but I was cautious because more than a few who said they were leos just didn't ring true to me and the security there was virtually non-existent. Then one of my friends who is a verified leo here, told me about this site. As a citizen who avidly supports the police, I like this place. I think it's great that you have restricted access areas where you can discuss things that affect your careers and safety without having to worry about the bad guys getting ideas, etc.
Private citizens cannot walk into a squad room at a PD unannounced and unescorted and start snooping around, and it is my belief that y'all ought to have your own virtual world wide squad room where you can securely share things that will be beneficial to leos and law abiding citizens alike. With the ongoing terrorist threats, I would say that it is vital that leos are able to brainstorm, swap ideas and communicate globally.
Thanks to Jason and all the rest of you who are out there "standing on the wall" for our protection and safety.

Hi brushfire! Glad to have you aboard. You do know that you can go downtown and ride a long with some officers if your local department allows it. Just call them and see.
