I originally came to this site to explore some questions I had regarding the hiring/testing process for NYS Troopers, and LEO's in general. I never planned on sticking around very long, but kind of got sucked in. I work a desk job logged in all day so I find myself checking in throughout. This is quite a tight little online community here, and that's cool as far as online communities go I suppose - I must like it if I keep coming back.
Well, I am almost halfway through the hiring process (kind of). The big part, the PAT, is over. The polygraph and part of the psych is over too. All that remains now is my BI, and a psych interview, and a physical exam. I can't imagine anything going wrong, but suppose I can not count my chickens before the eggs hatch. Wish me luck.

I appreciate the thought. I actually started a new job, so had to refrain from logging in. ;) My new employer knows I am in process with the NYSP, so they wont be too upset if I leave in January for the academy.
