Hello,
I'm new to the board, been pokin 'round for awhile and decided to take the plunge. I'm a Patrol Sergeant and a nine year Vet. I'm originally from NYC and did a small tour with the Aux. there, but came to SGA to start my carrer.

My sympathies to all the officers that have to work out in the extreme heat and humidity...if I lived in GA or some other southern state and I was an LEO I know I would want to work the graveyard shift when nice and cooler!
I guess it wouldn't be that bad though to work in the day, provided that your car has air conditioning. It would probably be something that would just become normal with time.

The heat and humidity here can be unbearable especially being from the north.Thank God for the crown vic with a good a/c.
