Hello to all of you!
I'm not a police officer or associated with the law. I'm a writer who wants to get the facts right and not sound like a blithering idiot. To that end, I've registered with this board.
I'd like to say thank you to those folks who took the time to answer my question on the "Ask a Cop" forum. I can get past my first scene and continue onward.
I tried to call the Richmond PD and discovered that their community liaison position was cut due to budgetary constraints. I gather that budget cuts are affecting just about everywhere's departments. Without having a live person to ask questions of, I found this site via Google.
Hope no one minds if I ask questions.

Welcome! I live in WA and I have been to the Mendocino Coast before, spent the night in Wilits once (nice town but everything was on one long street, even the hospital!) and Fort Bragg (not as nice town and again almost everything on one long street!). The Mendocino Coast is a very beautiful place to live, you should feel lucky that you live so close to the ocean.
