Hi All.....
My names Dana and I am Tankus's partner.
I thought it was time to sign up under my own name and start joining into and adding to the amazing threads that abound on this forum.
A little about me....I am 41..have for the last several years been working with recidivist youth and "at risk" youth between the ages of 12 and 24 for a local governement here in Perth.The combination of my job as a youth officer and Tankus's job as a police officer can make for some very interesting dinner time conversation, as Tankus's job is to lock em up while mine is to keep em out! :p
I have a keen interest in many things and have spent the last 10 years or so being *when im not working* a proffesional student...or as my family says i like to collect nice bits of parchment with lots of letters after my name on it!
My politics swing left and i have been known to be a staunch femminist...although i do like having the car door opened for me!
I was raised for the first half of my life in the Methodist Church....my father being a Pastor of said church. I spent the majority of my early years in Michigan, but travelled extensively with my parents as "God" called them. I have spent the last 18 years living in lovely Perth and havent returned 'home' since 1994.
So ......what does this all mean..it now means that Tankus wont get the fallout for some of my more energetic ramblings on the forum...*L*..and it means we can both have a voice and not confuse anyone.
Heres to many views on many topical issues!
