Welcome to the board and glad you like it. I tell a lot of new people, please feel free to submit suggestions as I'm always tinkering with new ideas to make it better. :D
SUGGESTION
Can we have a coffee machine installed over there in the corner please? *Laughs*
*laugh* In the academy, we have to practically beg for water. Any of us being caught with a cup of coffee would bring kinda scary consequences. ;)Originally posted by Andrew

Thanks much; as a recruit, all I can do is stare straight at my screen at full attention...I wouldn't dare suggest anything for a few months, at least. ;)Originally posted by realpolice

Thanks, all...appreciate it. Feels like home already. Wish I could've responded sooner/more but you know the drill. Sleep is a precious commodity during this time. ;)
Abirtz...fortunately I don't live in Manhattan itself; I don't think there's anyway a recruit/probationary police officer's salary could allow that unless the recruit had 10 roommates*laugh*...NYC currently starts at a little over $31K. NYC cops haven't had a contract in two years, though, and the PBA union has been feverishly negotiating a raise which is supposedly being decided in mid-July regarding the percentage...might be 10% or more. :D
My current activities are being subject to, or witnessing, vocal abuse LOL...but I'll be happy to vent here as needed, that's for sure. My classes are going well; the only thing I need to get used to is PT, which is where most of the stress is at right now. Our instructors redefine "strict", among other adjectives I'd prefer not to reveal for professional and safety reasons... ;)Originally posted by tomahawk134

NYPD7, thats what I thought. I mean DC is an expensive place to live, but I've heard that NYC is astronomical. Thanks for the advice though and I'll be sure to look into the new Union contract.fortunately I don't live in Manhattan itself; I don't think there's anyway a recruit/probationary police officer's salary could allow that unless the recruit had 10 roommates
Stay safe out there.
