Hello, I am new here and would like to introduce myself. I am in the Marines and work as a Military Police / Corrections specialist. I am stationed here in Camp Lejeune, and work at the Brig here. I am sure you would like to know some info about the Brig here, well we house Min - Max security prisoners and detainees. Our count on deck is over 240+ prisoners and detainees, from all branches of the military.
My job in the Brig as a CPL, is the Special Quarters NCOIC. In Special Quaters we house maily MAX prisoners and prisoners from the squadbays that are segregated for disciplinary reasons.
We have a few well know prisoners / detainees in SQ. ie. Akbar, from the Army. He is the soldier that is accused of throwing the grenades into the tents in Iraq, killing and wounding several people. We also have Boykins, who is the Marine that cut the parachuts of 13 of his fellow Marines.
I have roughly 1 1/2 years left in the military and if i dont reenlist then I plan on going joining the Baltimore County Police Dept. I was a BCPD Explorer while in High School which kept me out of trouble and helped me plan my future as a LE Officer.
I hope to learn alot from people on this forum and to help people who would like to learn more about the Marine Corps, or Military Police Corrections.
