    Post Introductions & First Posts

Hi everyone, I am new here (obviously) and I thought I would save a little bit of space by creating a new thread so every one would post here instead of making new threads.

Anyway, to say a little bit about my self... I am planning on going into the AF and become an MP, probably go to EST...

Could anyone give me a little bit on info about what EST is like? It would be appreciated...

You still in Highschool? And do you plan to make the AF a career, or do you eventually want to get into civilian LE?

Yes, I am still in Highschool, I plan for a AF career, and after four years or so I plan on coming back and joining this county's SWAT team... But right now I am just planning. Just out of plain curiousity, what weapons do the SF use?

Id suggest going to college first(at least a two year one) It seems like more and more departments are requireing(sp) college, plus from what ive heard it will open up a lot more doors in the long run. I plan to knock out the four year degree first, then after join the military(USAF most likely). Also be aware that you can't just jump right into SWAT, you'll have to do patrol for a few years at first.

Also think about joining a Police Explorer post. Great way to get experience/Learn about all the different parts of Law Enforcement. Check the Explorer forum for more info.(its down near the bottom).

The M-4 (5.56mm Carbine), M-9 (9mm Pistol), M-500/870 (12 gauge Shotgun), M-203 (40mm Grenade Launcher), M-249( 5.56mm Automatic Rifle), M-240 (7.62mm Machine Gun), Handgrenades, Claymore Mines, Submachine guns, sniper rifles, and rifles.

Yep, that was exactly what I was planning on doing. I was planning to go to a college with a AFROTC program, and go in as a officer, but I'm not sure how that is going to work.

I also knew you had to be a full time officer at first, and get the countys training as well.
Thanks for the info as well!
