Hello all,
I have been introduced to Real Police from my best mate Tankus, who like me is from Perth Western Australia.

I will be joining up with the Police Service later on this year. At the moment just busy getting physical fitness up and running. Hope to be able to contribute where possible to the forums and look forward to exchanging thoughts, comments etc. :rolleyes:

hey oscar, have you ever been close enough to a Roo(I think that's the correct term you guys use?) to get kicked?

Been close but only in a zoo or wildlife park Butter and then wary of getting too close. The males will grab you around the neck or shoulders if they think you're a threat and will lean back on their tails and put those very big feet right into you so I always take care. And they will do it by the way, it's not an urban myth. I have seen heaps of roos in the bush but they turn tail and don't hang around. There are some places in the wild where kangaroos and wallabies will let you feed them but they are usually in tourist areas where they are used to people, but again you would still have to be careful of the old man roos, they can be very unpredictable and they aren't small either, usually they stand around about 6 feet tall.

lol, cool. I would like to see Erwin get kicked on tv. He is to careful around crocks, maybe he'd let his guard down long enough around a roo.

Not likely, he's not stupid. He might come across as a bit of a goose in some ways but I reckon he's not as silly as he might like people to think he is. He would know exactly how much of an injury an old man roo can give you if he took a dislike to you. Those feet are big, remember those hind legs propel the animal great distances and are extremely strong and they do have, not claws, but sort of bloody big nails in those feet that can do some serious damage. They might be vegetarian but I am very wary of them if there isn't wire netting or a bars between me and the animal, the mature males I mean. You need to watch them too, they can get very grumpy and lash out very quickly. If they start grunting and groaning at you, back off, they're not humming a Metallica song :D

I don't like possum, too greasy. When I was a kid the old folks would eat it. YUCK! And DC I'm from FL. :D

David. Kangaroo kinda tastes like really lean beef. It is very good. You can get it at specality meat markets. The Dekalb Farmers Market carries it.
