    Thankyou all for being so welcoming. Roo is quite nice to eat, although the taste can be be a little on the strong side and meat can be stringy. Apart from that Kangaroo stew is very nice!

    It's ok Oscar, Tankus and I will be gentle. I spent some time in South Australia on the Eyre Penisula and in the Riverland water skiing most weekends. Has the Adelaide water improved?....Still have a nasty water mark stain on the bottom of the family boat from the Murray....on the SA side of the border...of course!

    It's very low in fat, if a bit gamey in its flavour.

    Adelaide water Doofey, you know what it's like :D It's getting a bit better but it's still not the best. The poor old Murray is still being polluted by the Eastern states. Eyre Penninsula eh? I'm originally from Whyalla

    Whyalla...the pink city.
    Used to drive from Elliston (family owned farm and caravan park there) through Lock then onto Cleve, Cowell then to Whyalla for once a month shop. Many friends from Whyalla so glad to know we are in good company :D. I learnt to drive in Elliston many moons ago with a very pleasant senior constable perving on sunbathers whilst taking the driving test! :D

    LOL - lest there be some confusion about the Pink City bit - it's a steel-producing city and processes iron ore so much of it is covered with iron ore dust which is a sort of rust colour.

    I probably know the S/C from Elliston so 'nuff said

    all you have to do to prevent gamey taste is to drain all the blood out before you cut and freeze / cook the meat.
