Well, if you can't beat 'em, join them!

Or perhaps I've never broken the law. (I suppose that's never true for anybody though)

I've actually picked up a nickname from my childhood. They called me "The Sheriff", nobody wanted to hang out with me because I was a little too much of a goody two shoes. I wouldn't be comfortable if we were knowingly breaking the law. The nickname kind of stuck (but for impersonation reasons I ended up purposely misspelling it).

The truth is Law Enforcement has always been an interest, more so when driving because too many people deserve a ticket, but it's been a sort of dream really. I went to college as a technical theater major but I realized that I was wasting money since the degree would be in a field that you didn't need a degree to do. I also realized it's a field that is not a very steady job and I didn't fit in to well being how I was.

I am kind of sitting in limbo doing a part time work from home programming job that makes me want to remove my eyeballs with a spoon and replace them with hard boiled eggs (prime example of being good at something that you hate doing). I would like to get into Law Enforcement and make my nickname less of a nickname and more of a career.

I'm 21 but not exactly physically fit, though I'm working on that part, I'm a Texan and hope to stay that way. I've done good in school unless there's massive amounts of homework and out of class group projects. And I just wanted to share my story and get thoughts on what my next move would be, considering my parents will start charging rent in a month and I'd like to move Up to spring area soon considering my hobby is up there and the rent is cheap.

I suppose I could talk about my hobby, if anybody is interested in talking about airsoft.

    Welcome!

    Start working out......

GO BACK to school and get a degree in any field that you have interest in. It doesn't matter subject wise. Think about "what of I can't be a cop" and I have to do something. What would that be? Find a major related to that and get the degree. It will be the best thing for you.

KEEP the miserable job. We have all had them. It pays the bills and you are good at that. Later in like when folks look at your resuem and speak to folks, they will look at your performance, not if liked doing it. Good perfromance is everything.

STAY HOME as long as you can and bank money. Move to a place so you can play game? Hobbies are when you have time...and right now...you shoudl have NONE becuase you shoudl be working, studying or working out. You are You don't say why mom and dad are charging you rent suddenly. I can only infer its cause you stopped school. Sit down and have a talk. This in your plan......school....job....workout....get a job as a _____ once you graduate and possibly pursue a career in law enforceemnt in the long term.

Thats what I think you should do.
-In God we trust. All others, put your hands on the car and don't move.
